Outside-Foot Pass, Back-Foot Touch & Reverse Cut Pass

Pass with the foot furthest from the pole, take a back-foot touch behind the pole, and play an angled reverse pass using the laces/inside to cut the ball across to the opposite side.

Key points

  • Take a firm back-foot touch that sets up the reverse pass angle
  • Use the laces/inside of the same foot to slice the ball back on yourself at an angle
  • Receive cleanly on the opposite side of the pole and establish rhythm

Common mistakes

Cutting the reverse pass too straight, preventing the ball from reaching the opposite side.
