In-Place Single Side Shuffle Step Drill

Perform compact lateral shuffle steps on the spot, executing one quick side shuffle to the right followed immediately by one quick side shuffle to the left for 30 seconds. Rest is flexible (15-30 seconds or no break).

Key points

  • Push off the outside foot to drive lateral movement within confined space
  • Stay low in an athletic stance without crossing the feet over
  • Change direction rapidly between the right and left shuffle steps

Common mistakes

Crossing the feet over or bouncing excessively high rather than staying low and level.
