Driver Max-Speed Swing Protocol

Using your own standard driver with no extra equipment, perform 10 consecutive swings at maximum intent and effort from your regular address posture. Rest fully for 2 to 3 minutes between sets, completing 3 total sets of 10 swings.

Key points

  • Perform a thorough dynamic warm-up prior to starting speed swings
  • Perform the protocol at the start of your training session when neuromuscular system is completely fresh, never fatigued at the end
  • Take a full 2 to 3 minutes of passive rest between sets to allow full central nervous system and ATP recovery
  • Execute every single swing with 100% maximum intent to rip the club as fast as possible

Common mistakes

Cutting rest breaks short or doing extra sets, causing central nervous system fatigue rather than speed adaptation, or doing speed work while fatigued after a workout.
