Back-to-Goal Spin and Shoot

Receive a pass with your back to goal in front of an arrowhead cone marker, spin sharply past the simulated defender, and unleash a shot within two to three strides. Coach prescribes 10 repetitions on each side/foot.

Key points

  • Cushion and redirect the ball in one turning motion around the cones
  • Maintain low center of gravity while pivoting on the plant foot
  • Release the strike within two to three strides before defensive recovery

Common mistakes

Spinning too wide of the target or taking extra settling touches after the turn.
