Stationary Alternating Hesitation (Hesi) Drill

Perform alternating hesitation pauses, lifting eyes and chest to simulate a shot or pass threat before resuming the dribble.

Key points

  • Sell the hesitation with head, eyes, and slight torso elevation
  • Keep hand on top and side of the ball without palming
  • Alternate between right and left hands with a rhythm setup bounce

Placing the palm directly underneath the ball resulting in a carry.
