Pass Shot
Perform behind-the-back passes before shooting. Make 10 shots from mid-range and 10 shots from behind the 3-point line, going both left and right. Focus on the 'pickup point' where both hands touch the ball and feet land before the shot. - Feet wider than shoulder-width apart for a stable base. - Feel both feet hit the floor simultaneously for a strong foundation. - Focus on the 'pickup point' for a clean shot motion. - Phase: Fig 8 Fwd Pass Shot - Get low to generate explosion into the shot. - Ensure feet pop into place where desired for balance. - Phase: Fig 8 Rev Pass Shot - Sway to generate momentum and rhythm for the shot. - Basketball shooting is all about rhythm. - Phase: BTB Dribble Shot - Focus on the dribble pickup point. - Ensure good foot placement after the dribble. - Feel how good or bad your dribble pickup is. Common mistakes: Poor hand-to-ball contact at the pickup point leading to missed shots.
