Opposite Sole Drag to Outside Push

Drag the ball back diagonally with the sole of one foot, then push it forward through the cone gap with the outside of the opposite foot.

Key points

  • Place the studs gently on the ball and roll diagonally backward toward your stance
  • Push cleanly through the gate using the outside laces/edge of the other foot
  • Lift the head periodically at the top of the course to scan the field

Common mistakes

Dragging the ball too far back behind the standing leg, making the outside push awkward.
