Opposite Knee Touch Slip Calibration

Touch the lead knee with the rear hand for a lead slip, then touch the rear knee with the lead hand for a rear slip, calibrating the exact head displacement off the centerline before bringing the guard back up.

Key points

  • Rotate hips naturally to bring the extended arm across to touch the opposite knee
  • Keep arms fully extended during initial touches to establish physical boundary references
  • Bring both hands back up to a high guard while replicating the exact same head trajectory

Common mistakes

Over-slipping and leaning the torso too far past the outer edges of the knees.
