Off-Center Blinder: 1-Lead Hook-Cross to Head Kick

Step the jab off the centerline, whip a heavy lead hook to rotate the opponent's guard, extend a light cross/blinder, and immediately whip the rear high kick with broken timing.

Key points

  • Step the head slightly off the center line while extending the entry jab
  • Put full power into the lead hook to force the opponent's hands over to defend the left side
  • Touch or leave the cross extended as a visual shield while instantly whipping the rear high kick behind it

Common mistakes

Throwing all four strikes with identical metronomic tempo, allowing the opponent to time the high kick.
