Hook-Roll-Hook Rotational Flow

Throw a rear hook, roll underneath the return counter by bending knees and rotating hips into a U-shape, and explode up into a lead hook or uppercut.

Key points

  • Use the rotational follow-through of the hook to initiate the downward roll
  • Bend at the knees and carve a clean U-shape with the nose under the imaginary counter
  • Explode up through the opposite hip into a lead hook or body punch

Common mistakes

Bending at the waist rather than using knee flex and hip turning to duck under the hook.
