Gun Range Shoot
Basketball shooting drill focusing on form, depth perception, and shot consistency. Perform 5 sets from each of the 5 designated spots on the court (right corner, right wing, top, left wing, left corner).
Key points
- Start by making a shot as close as possible to the basket.
- After each make, take a step back and shoot again until you are past the 3-point line.
- Then, take a step forward after each make, shooting all the way back to the front of the basket.
- Do not miss two shots in a row; if you do, restart the current sequence from the beginning.
- Focus on maintaining consistent form and follow-through regardless of shooting distance.
- Pay attention to shots from the corners, as there is less backboard help.
Common mistakes
Missing two shots in a row (requires restarting the sequence). Inconsistent form or follow-through when changing distance.
