Ball Bounce Catch into Punch Combination Drill

Bounce a tennis ball with one hand, catch it out of the bounce with the opposite hand in a straight punch motion, and immediately fire a rapid follow-up punching combination.

Key points

  • Bounce with the right hand and catch cleanly out of the air with the left hand extended like a jab
  • Immediately follow the catch with an explosive multi-punch combination from a solid stance
  • Alternate lead bouncing hands (bounce left, catch right in a cross, fire combination)

Common mistakes

Reaching with a flat-footed stance instead of rotating into the punch-catch motion.
