Late Catch Warm-Up
Initial warm-up drill with progressive difficulty: close range, three-point, and moving backwards. Focuses on late two-hand catch, stabilization, and athletic lift. - Put two hands on the ball as late as possible in the release. - Stabilize the release even with a weird pick-up. - Elevate more to buy time for stabilization – jump higher. - On backwards shots, avoid leaning back; maintain forward weight distribution. Common mistakes: Weight distribution tends to lean back when shooting moving backwards.
